Where to watch the Olympic Games in London
The 2008 Olympic Games are taking place in Beijing 8-24 August, followed by the 2008 Summer Paralympic Games which take place between 6-17 September.
The Trafalgar Square Festival brings all the excitement of Beijing to London. As well as live arts and cultural events themed around the Beijing Olympics, a huge screen will show all the sporting action as it happens. From 8am to 9pm throughout the Games, all the athletics, swimming, cycling, team sports and gymnastics will be covered.
The Canada Square Park Summer Screen returns to Canary Wharf this year. It’ll broadcast many major sports events, including the Beijing Olympics. It’s not just sport though; you can also catch highlights from The Proms and keep up-to-date with all the latest news and current affairs.
As an official venue for London 2012, The O2 is already getting into the Olympic spirit. Until the end of August, Summer of Sport allows sports fan to watch and participate in a number of sporting activities.
The London Piazza at the centre of The O2 will be transformed into an indoor park, and as well as live broadcasts of the Olympics, you can take part in an Olympic Challenge!
